JUNIOR TRACKING/ MATCHMOVE ARTISTS

We are looking for Junior Tracking/Matchmove Artist to join our new team in Vancouver. This is an exciting and rare opportunity to be part of the formative years of a new studio in Vancouver. Our constantly increasing projects range from feature films to commercials. You will be working together with artists with a wealth of experience on various productions. We are looking for talented people who have the drive to keep up and contribute to this quickly growing company.

Job Duties:

 

• Convert background plates to various formats to use with specific software to create digital motion files that match the plate photography. This may include animating any live-action character or relative object in the scene.

• Establish character blocking, camera positioning and animate camera movement.

• Provide technical set-up of shots for downstream production departments.

• Model the set geometry used to create the matchmove and environment for Animators and Technical Directors. * Lights, renders and composites files with the background to judge the move

• Maintains a professional level of knowledge about current developments in matchmove tools for computer graphics, especially in areas that relate to the film industry.

 

Qualifications:

• High attention to detail and willingness to learn

• familiarity using relevant tracking software such as 3DEqualizer and/or SynthEyes.

• Excellent communicator

• Degree and/or diploma in film, art, communications or related field preferred

Experience:
 

• VFX: 1 year (Preferred)
