About the Role

We are looking for an HR Manager to join our team in Vancouver!

We are looking for an energetic, detail-oriented HR Manager ready to take on a wide range of tasks in our Vancouver studio. The Human Resource Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department, including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. The role will also be responsible for maintaining and growing our current network of artists and post-production professionals by proactively searching, screening and continuously mapping out potential talent in the industry.

We are looking for a talented & enthusiastic person who has the drive to keep up and contribute to this quickly growing company. The Human Resource Manager should have a solid understanding of the VFX industry, various disciplines and the production environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage and respond to all applications submitted to Track VFX.

  • Handle job posting maintenance weekly

  • Coordinate and schedule interviews, and ensure specific criteria for the positions are met.

  • Utilizing social networking, job boards, referrals and our internal network to source and headhunt prospective talent

  • Employee contracts, orientation and training

  • Employee safety, wellness and health

  • Responsible for screening resumes to determine which candidates meet the requirements.

  • Ensure the personnel files are kept up to date and secure.

  • Other duties as assigned or required 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree/diploma in human resources management or equivalent training

  • Previous experience in Visual Effects, Animation, or CG recruiting is required.

  • A strong understanding of VFX principles, techniques, and tools is required.

  • Computer skills with proficiency working in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Analyze issues and provide information, direction and advice when required.

  •  Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills to provide employee relations support as needed.
